Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2025

1. Overview

MyCalendarTools ("we", "us", "our") is operated by Ascension Digital Group, an independent Australian web operation. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

MyCalendarTools does not require user accounts or registration. All calculation and calendar tools run entirely in your browser. We do not store personal data on our servers from the use of these tools.

2. Information We Collect

2a. Automatically collected data

Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically log standard access data including IP addresses, browser type and version, referring URLs, and pages visited. This data is used only in aggregate form for diagnosing technical issues and understanding traffic patterns. It is not linked to individual identities.

2b. No form data stored

No input you enter into our tools (dates, locations, times) is transmitted to or stored on our servers. All calculations are performed locally in your browser.

3. Cookies and Local Storage

We use the following browser storage mechanisms:

You can clear all locally stored data at any time through your browser settings (typically under "Clear browsing data" → "Site data" or "Cookies and local storage").

4. Geolocation (GPS / Location Data)

Some tools offer an optional location-based feature:

Before any location access is requested, you will see an explicit consent prompt explaining what the data is used for, with the options to confirm location access or enter a location manually instead. We only request your location after you actively click "Use My Location".

Your location coordinates are used only to perform the nearest-station lookup in your browser. They are sent as a query to the NOAA public API (see Section 6) but are not stored by us on any server. You may revoke location permission at any time in your browser or device settings.

5. Advertising — Google AdSense

MyCalendarTools uses Google AdSense (publisher ID: ca-pub-1904958390525375) to display advertisements. AdSense may use cookies and similar technologies to serve personalised ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites.

Ads are only activated if you accept the cookie consent banner. If you click Decline, no AdSense push calls are made during your visit.

You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time by visiting Google Ads Settings or the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out page.

6. Third-Party APIs

The Tide Times tool retrieves station metadata and tide predictions from the NOAA CO-OPS public API (api.tidesandcurrents.noaa.gov). This is a free public government service. When you use the tide tool, your browser makes a direct request to the NOAA API; we do not proxy or log those requests. NOAA's own privacy policy applies to those requests.

7. Third-Party Links

This site links to external websites including partner brands within the Ascension Digital Group and affiliate links (e.g., VentraIP hosting). We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those external sites. We recommend reviewing the privacy policy of any site you navigate to.

8. Children's Privacy

MyCalendarTools is a general-purpose utility site not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
